Mrs. Theresa Sloan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of South Carolina. She received her Master of Education degree in Counseling from the University of South Carolina, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York.
In addition, she has earned Board Certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Mrs. Sloan is also an Irlen Certified Screener for Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome with the Irlen Institute.
Mrs. Sloan is also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA); American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA); South Carolina Counseling Association (SCCA); Association for Assessment in Counseling (AAC); International Socity for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR); and, Chi Sigma Iota, Upsilon Sigma Chi Chapter.
She has co-authored an article with Dr. Robert McCarthy entitled "A Modern Day Evaluation and Treatment Regimen for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)", published in the October 1999 issue of Health and Fitness Magazine.
Mrs. Sloan specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Attention-Deficit\Hyperactivity Disorder, learning disabilities, and childhood and adolescent behavior disorders.
